Some of my current responsibilities include the following:Program Director: -Coordinate the program's curriculum and course development/enhancement. -Manage the supply inventory and the program's operating budget-Ensure adequate staffing-Interview and hire qualified Adjunct Professors-Design student recruitment events-Maintain and oversee NAACLS Standard compliance Professor/Clinical Coordinator:- Instruct Medical Laboratory Technology content in the classroom and campus laboratory setting-Evaluate the effectiveness of the courses-Collaborates with faculty and students in developing and implementing plans for over 20 student clinical placements annually. This involves reviewing program and student clinical site requests and available site preceptors for the various clinical courses, as well as continually evaluating current sites and developing new sites with available and competent preceptors. -Acted as liaison to the community consortia, responsible for all medical laboratory placements in the South Jersey area-Act as the liaison between our program at the college and our Clinical Hospital affiliates during the students' clinical rotations for follow-up on student progress and completion of paperwork for the clinical internship.

Responsible for the prompt, efficient, and accurate performance, validation and reporting of laboratory test results which are utilized for the purposes of prognosis, diagnosis, treatment, and research. Participate in blood processing, ABO/Rh typing and screening of specimens, antibody identification and crossmatching.Demonstrate knowledge of technical procedures related to specimen preparation and handling and the Immucor ECHO instrument operation.Involved with maintaining and documenting of high standards of quality control maintenance for all equipment and participate in proficiency testing programs.Work hand-in-hand with the department supervisors to ensure compliance with government requirements, hospital policies, and laboratory procedures.
