  Hi! My name is Lisa Carol Shockley and if my name sounds a little familiar, it’s because Carol is my Mom. In fact, the picture above shows me about ten years ago with my grandma, who you may have read about in Carol’s Story.I was very close to my grandma. In fact, when I moved to New Jersey nearly twenty years ago after finishing college, I lived with her for several months while I looked for a job. After finding my own place I visited her often.I saw firsthand what my mom went through in trying to keep my grandma at home, with her falls and broken bones, and her increasing memory problems. When assisted living became the answer, I helped with the move-in.When my Mom started Ask-Carol! I was excited about it. I knew firsthand how much better assisted living was than living at home. Over the years I’ve spent many hours helping my Mom part-time.In my new role in Ocean and Monmouth counties, I look forward to helping you and your family find the right solutions for your parents.Call me days, evenings, or weekends.
