Played an important leadership role in building the foundations to launch Medicus – Canada’s first-ever multi-employer pension plan for physicians, established by Scotiabank and MD Financial. This role included overall responsibility for brand and marketing, communication, and education for the plan, from strategic planning to grass-roots implementation.

Led the HR Communication function as an agent of change, with accountability for overall communication strategy, marketing and communication of Total Rewards, and development of a robust SharePoint employee portal. CIBC Mellon won the ‘Achievers’ 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in Canada Award’ in 2012.• Developed an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that is now embedded within the organization and also used throughout recruitment ads and materials.• Created a holistic Total Rewards model, with five key categories that reflect the EVP. • Built an integrated Total Rewards communication strategy and branding. The approach aligns with the corporate brand and provides an integrated communication consistency and navigation that significantly increased employees’ understanding of the big picture of their Total Rewards in just one year.• Led communication strategies and implementation for many key HR initiatives, including pension and benefit changes, organizational change, learning and recognition programs, performance management, and policy updates.• Advised on SharePoint portal initial requirements, structure and design. As an active leader of the corporate governance team, provided guidance and recommendations on overall direction and content. Also built all intranet content for Total Rewards programs, policies, forms, and leader content and tools.• Introduced leader communication tools to help managers communicate more effectively with employees
