"In 2019 when we first launched myDRIVESCHOOL® I thought we'd developed a pretty cool game to teach people how to drive, 5 years later I realise we've created SO much more. Having a driver's licence is more than an ID card - it's independence, social inclusion, employability and freedom". Being a Founder, using technology to disrupt an entire industry has been an amazing learning experience, and I've loved (nearly) every minute of it. I grew up in and around motorsport - and despite leaving Australia in 1996 to escape the industry, I accidentally ended up working for one of the largest motorsport companies in the world in the UK. I use the 20+ years experience in the industry, knowledge and networks to do something that, to me, matters more than going around and around in circles fast (no offence intended). Motorsport is about entertainment, and designing and developing products and services, for eventual mainstream use. This is where myDRIVESCHOOL® was born, we designed/developed similar technologies /methodologies used to train race drivers, to train all road users. Learning to drive should be open to all, safe for all and fun for all, and we want students to make their mistakes online NOT on-road. In a blind randomised test, myDRIVESCHOOL® students rated 48% more competent and 17% less anxious. The program has been described as "potentially the best road safety initiative since the 3 point safety belt", by automotive stalwart Paul Gover.
