Advises clients through all aspects of environmental due diligence in every type of transaction. Routinely oversees environmental due diligence process including environmental assessments, advising clients on potential environmental risks and mitigation, negotiating environmental contract terms, and satisfying lenders regarding potential liability. Also has extensive experience advising on environmental regulatory and compliance matters, and assisting with voluntary cleanup programs and negotiating consent orders with state and federal agencies. Skilled at advising on permitting procedures and challenges to permit conditions and limits, including stormwater and wetlands regulatory programs, solid and hazardous waste management programs, CERCLA and the Clean Water Act. Regularly provides environmental permitting guidance to solar developer clients. In addition to environmental expertise, regularly handles all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.

After my son, Connor, successfully ended his treatment for leukemia, we started Connor's Heroes to provide support to other families who were battling childhood cancer in Richmond. Our mission is building a community of heroes to provide hope, guidance, and support to children with cancer and their families. We are the only nonprofit in Central Virginia that provides direct support to families and funding to research in Richmond.
