Hi, I'm Lisa the creator of SMASH, VSF, & Project SMASH. Quick bio of me and my businesses without trying to toot my own horn. I basically somehow started something from nothing TWICE from Las Vegas to San Antonio with hard work ethics, loyalty, consistency, faith, and a few angels put in my path along the way including my husband, & turned it into what it is today. See, my whole like I've always been the underdog, noone really ever believed in me. Once a performer, entertainer, dancer in Las Vegas, maybe not necessarily the best or most fit one, but I've always had alot of heart, passion, skills, kindness, and did it all with a smile:) Nowadays I manage the studio more than I teach, but every instructor I hire have to "connect" with me and have a similar heart with good work ethics. We become close like family and call ourselves the SMASH family:) My Vision I made a reality was to offer Adult Non-Intimidating classes especially for women desiring more confidence, transformation and inspiration no matter what size they are. That's how the VSF class parties was born too(try one!:) My heart also goes out to kids. Myself once being a bullied kid for not knowing english who was shy and quiet, dance helped me with my confidence. So we provide a non-competitive positive outlet for kids ages 3-17 to express themselves and raise their self esteem through music and dance. Then the Outreach part of SMASH a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) called Project SMASH providing dance and fitness as a way to heal for shelters, children homes, rehabilitation centers. at-risk youth, and low income communities because I once a single teen mom understand the struggles. SMASH, VSF, & Project SMASH offers many classes, workshops and fundraisers to help with our causes and the SMASH kids perform twice a year where all proceeds are given back to the community so costs is never an issue, we figure it out for you when needed.

A Las Vegas native, studied from early childhood in dance and won Nevada state champion in gymnastics. Later studied Business Administration & Criminal Justice but chose to pursue her passion in dance. Trained in ballroom,salsa and belly dance. Won numerous salsa competitions & performed professionally for Las Vegas hotels, corporate events, and community events. Lead dancer and choreographer for show band, “Suave”. Directed the dance troupe “Latin Desert Girls”, & member of the first performing Las Vegas salsa dance group. Started the first dance program for her community teaching at a local recreation center & recognized by Clark County, NV Parks & Recreation. Later moved to Miami to train in belly dance. In Miami she taught at a youth recreation center and started their first kids program in belly dance & salsa. Returned to Las Vegas in 2005 and started SMASH a popular Las Vegas dance/martial arts studio for over 5 years and recognized by Senator Harry Reid for her international cultural teachings. SMASH now is an after school program in Las Vegas & San Antonio.Lisa gives back to her community by volunteering and organizing lessons for at-risk youth, a contributor to Street Teens of NV, member of Southern Nevada Hispanic Employment Program helping raise college scholarships for kids and hosting entrepreneur workshops, Member of ahopefultomorrow.org raising funds for kids that cannot afford lessons in the arts, a contributor for Dress For Success, helping women in need and The Circle Of Influence of San Antonio, is the founder of Las Vegas Ladies of Influence, and co-founder of Vegas Stiletto Fitness helping women raise their self esteem through dance.Lisa’s mission is to help others achieve their dreams, teach them to give back by sharing their own talents with others,& give them the opportunity to use their energy in a positive outlet through the expression of dance. She works hard to accomplish this through SMASH Inc. & Vegas Stiletto Fitness.
