About Lisa Vitaris, Mba Gaicd Compieaust Engexec

Ask my team what kind of a leader I am, and they’ll say I am a business leader with a conscience. Driven by working for companies that are ‘doing the right thing’ and that I believe in, I will do everything in my power to make sure that I help them achieve even their most aspirational of goals.I am Interim CEO and Director of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) Sydney in 2025 at the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA) with a theme of 'Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth'. SIAA is the national peak body for the Australian space industry. SIAA and its member companies work closely with Australian governments, international partners, academia, and industry to advance Australia's space industry and economy. In 2022, SIAA led a successful global bid to host the IAC in Sydney in 2025.In October 2021, I was nominated as a Board Director for Engineers Australia, the profession's peak body with over 120,000 members, and with a purpose 'to advance society through great engineering' which I am incredibly passionate about.Naturally gravitating towards roles in growth companies due to my strengths in brand and acquisition, I have spent 19 years working across a range of successful companies in technology, financial services, automotive and travel covering the full spectrum of marketing channels both agency and client-side.An avid learner, I converted my Master of Business in International Marketing into an MBA and completed the AICD course. What inspired my further learning was The Marketing Academy, where I was I was selected as one of their 2020 scholars (30 out of over 500 applicants), alongside marketing, advertising and media leaders from some of the world’s biggest companies such as Google, Facebook and OMD.I speak fluent French, and in Kyrgyzstan on my world travels (spanning 120+ countries and calling four home), I picked up a pile of litter and started a company. 10 Pieces encourages travellers to pick up 10 pieces of litter - which collectively makes a big difference. For my work, I was honoured to be nominated as a ‘Hero of Travel’ by The Sydney Morning Herald in 2018.In addition, I am a member of The Marketing Academy’s advisory council, Pantheras’ CMO Advisor, and the University of Technology Sydney’s advisory to Advanced MBA students.

Listed skills include Integrated Marketing, Strategy, Advertising, Brand Management, and 46 others.
