Mentor rising first-generation college students in-person and online as part of a federally funded non-profit. Provide high-impact ELA, reading, and writing support, in addition to college essay and application advising, to ensure that high school students have equitable access to college and career opportunities. Coach students individually through college essays and applications. Services include researching and building personalized college lists, brainstorming essay topics, editing and proofreading, perfecting applications, and applying for scholarships and financial aid. In addition, I offer general educational consulting services, such as literacy/ library grant writing and educational technology support and training. I utilize Google Suite and Microsoft Suite to deliver individualized and prompt feedback, both in person and virtually.

Coordinated and revitalized library services for students, staff, and parents at Trimble Tech High School (2021-2023) and Bruce Shulkey Elementary (2007-2021) through increased circulation, diverse collection development, innovative programming, and collaborative instruction. Initiated school-wide events, including Battle of the Books, author visits, Family Literacy Night, Reading Is Fundamental book distributions, History Fair, Science Fair, and Invention Convention. Supervised library clerks, volunteers, and student assistants, and efficiently met patron information and technology needs through in-person and digital interactions. Implemented and managed campus 1:1 technology initiatives at high school (1750+ students) and elementary campus (550+ students) and established the first line of technical support for students, staff, and parents. Trained faculty and staff 3-5 times annually in digital library resources and educational technology integration. Mentored five senior students in writing college and scholarship essays and completing applications, resulting in $300,000 + earned in scholarships combined in 2023. Designed and taught a project-based learning curriculum for Gifted and Talented Pull-Out program, grades 1-5, including two student-led family nights. Worked as a team player on the district Battle of the Books Committee, the Trimble Tech Prom Committee, and the Bruce Shulkey Technology and Hospitality Committees.

Developed relationships with diverse adult learners and high school dual credit students to accelerate academic success. Advised patrons with reference needs, including locating, evaluating, and citing print and digital sources. Guided learners to scholarly peer-reviewed journals and provided instructional support during scheduled research classes. Acted as Managing Librarian, Staff Supervisor, and Technology Specialist during evening shifts.
