I achieved a first class honour in my Professional Masters of Education in Art and Design with Digital Media at the University of Limerick in conjunction with Limerick School of Art and Design. I hold a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, complemented by my first Masters of Art in Design in Social Practice and the Creative Environment from Limerick School of Art and Design. I am a life long learner and I have recently completed a Post Graduate Degree in Special Education Needs (2021) from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. I recieved the Irish Learning Support Association award for my outstanding results in my reflective enquiry module. I have a vast knowledge of various art forms including ceramics, painting, batik, digital media, printmaking and art history. My curriculum plans embrace a range of mediums, techniques and contextual studies to encourage creativity, collaborative work and independent thinking. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them reach their full potential. I tailor lesson plans to meet students diverse needs and interests. I passionately employ the use of ICT in my classroom to enhance the students learning. I have used my digital media skill set to bring art technologies into my classroom. I am an experienced photographer with experience in documenting school events, updating websites and social media accounts and designing posters for school events. I am proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver), iMovie, Coding, Sam Animation and Movie Maker.
