The Clinician is a digital health company that incorporates patient-generated health data into the care journey to improve patient outcomes while reducing costs.I collaborated on a research project to expand The Clinician’s product offerings. I conducted market research and literature review, assisted in product creation and commercialisation, prospected key opinion leaders and potential pilot sites, presented business proposals, and documented our team’s findings in a written report.

I translated medical documents (including academic journal articles and Powerpoint slides) from Chinese to English for various clients. I also managed an ophthalmology research database (Excel) of English and Chinese academic publications for Alcon China.

I supported the teaching of fortnightly practical laboratories for two undergraduate biomedical science courses (MEDSCI 142: Biology for Biomedical Science: Organ Systems, MEDSCI 204: Pharmacology and Toxicology), with 20-100+ students per laboratory.

I was responsible for planning and leading the execution of six of the largest Unleash Space events for 2019, each with 100-500+ attendees. These large-scale community events aimed to promote the growth of Unleash Space and develop the entrepreneurial mindset within the university.

A 10-week biomedical research project on the human olfactory bulb in Parkinson’s disease. I quantified cells and identified which cell types were affected by alpha synuclein pathology. I communicated my research orally (Summer Student Presentation Forum 2019) and in written form (research report) to FMHS students and staff.

I was responsible for writing two news articles per week for the Unleash Space website, showcasing different Unleash Space events, innovations, and start-ups within the university. As the founding Newsroom Writer, I published 24 articles, built up the Newsroom section and its protocol from scratch, and mentored future Newsroom writers.
