• I owned a magical kids' party venue (Ivy Cottage in Greenhithe) from 2004 to 2015. After closing the venue in 2015 (due to the lease not being renewed) I travelled around Auckland to entertain at kids' parties in the.
• Since Dec 2004 I have enjoyed running a small business, being a fairy/pirate at kids’ birthday parties and special events in Auckland during the weekends.
• Between Dec 2004 and Aug 2015 I leased an “enchanted garden and magical cottage” property in Greenhithe and ran a party/events venue that people visited, where we would host their parties and other special events.
• I managed 30 casual part time employees during this time, as well as maintaining the venue, taking the party bookings, organising the events, and promoting and advertising the venue.
• I closed the venue in Aug 2015 (due to new property owners not renewing the lease) and since this date have been travelling around Auckland on occasional weekends, attending and hosting kids’ parties and events at.
• I continue to promote this small business (on a very small scale) using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram the website and e-newsletter mailouts.
