Several positions in Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in Amuay Refinery (Later Paraguana Refinery Complex ), starting as Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, Project Control Coordinator, as well as Supervisor in Routine Maintenance Department. Work in refinery conferred a wide understanding of the projects, including contracting strategy, bidding coordination, and contracts administration and created strong commitment with HSE and QA/QC. In Canada focused in Project Control Discipline as a Cost Engineer (more than 12 years) Strong knowledge and skill set includes: Develop Budget Base line, set up Cost system: Cost reports, Contingency withdraw, Cost Flow and Progress Reports and prepare and maintain change management.Experience in executing and controlling infrastructure projects in all stages of projects and different sizes gives an integral profile that allow to supporting strong analysis of variance in cost performance, point out areas of cost overrun, prepare forecast and ensure timely recommended corrective actions. Daily objectives involve a keen focus in cost saving.Broad type of projects: Refinery Projects, SAGD and Gas Plant with different scope from grass root projects, revamps to upgrade installations. Most important projects in Canada are: Pike, Jackfish3, Pads Jackfish1 and 2, Lodge for Jackfish3 (900 rooms), Ferrier, Voyageur Upgrader –Sulphur Complex; In Venezuela are: Water Treatment Plants , New Butylene Plant (30,000 Barrels/day), New emergency system in piers, Number of AACE Workshops taken in the areas of Cost, Earned Value, Cost Estimating, Planning and scheduling. Certified Cost Professional (CCP) in progress.
