At Advanced Surgical Care of Northern Illinois, my role involves directly supporting surgeons, enhancing patient experiences, and ensuring efficient clinical operations.My role includes: Assisting with medical examinations including in office procedures such as lipoma/cyst removalsGathering HPI and vitals Arranging hospital admissions and laboratory services for patients undergoing surgical proceduresProcessing surgical orders post-operative procedures Triaging incoming calls and calling patients with results per providers discretionPreparing and cleaning treatment rooms and medical instrumentsProficient in Epic EMR system, including patient registration, clinical documentation, and order entry modules

-Assist with medical and surgical procedures including biopsies, incision and drainage, electrodessication and curettage, and MOHS/ excisions.-Attend to 30+ patients daily, assist provider during entire skin exam, rash, hair loss, cosmetic appointment etc- document all clinical notes in EMR system (EMA) for physician to review- Perform lidocaine injections, blood draws, suture removal, specimen collection, vital evaluation, wound care and dressing changes, pre-operative and post-operative care- send prescriptions and scribe medical appointments
