I work with research policy related analyses, is an expert on issues related to open access to publications and perform analyses on gender, for example the assessment of applications for research-funding at VR (please see reports on VRs homepage).

I worked as a researcher and teacher at the department for Urban Geography 2002-2007. I had individual research grants from the Swedish Research Council, Formas and the Swedish Heritage Board.

I worked between 1990 and 2007 to plan and conduct courses as well as examining and educating students in areas that dealt with the built environment in various aspects; heritage/ urban history/city-planning and the like. I was a member of the management group of Urban and Regional Planning Program (Samhällsplanerarlinjen), an interdisciplinary program which the dep of Human Geography hosted. My research was funded by various Swedish financiers (VR, Formas, the National Heritage Board and others) I have experience in qualitative theories and methods. In my doctoral dissertation (1999), I used the 'case study, a theory and method that makes it possible to generalize on the basis of detailed studies of individual cases. The object of the study was the so-called Million Homes Programme (mass building in Sweden 1965-1974). The next study (2008) was based on discourse analysis, a theory and method that aims to make visible the invisible rules that govern what we express, and how we express ourselves. A discourse is a figure of thought, a conception of the world. How we talk and what we talk about is central to a discourse analysis: the starting point for this analysis is that the words are not neutral, and once for all defined, nor those aspects of life that we, at a given moment, considers relevant. The object of the study was the post-war expansion programs in Europe, with outlooks to other parts on the world but also to the pre-war situation.
