A Nordic leader and pioneer for impact investments in Africa, innovative finance and gender lens investing. A strong background in finance and international development from central bank, IMF, World Bank and international humanitarian organizations. I am the founder of Nordic Impact Funds - an investment fund for social and environmental impact in East Africa. Nordic Impact Funds seek to improve quality of life for women and underserved communities by capitalizing enterprises with a scalable and economically viable model for impact. I believe that financially viable businesses, led by dedicated social entrepreneurs, play a crucial and unique role in achieving self-sustained, large scale and long term social impact. It is also my conviction that empowering women and closing the gender gap in developing countries is key to growth and development.
