TORM Claims Manager, Insurance & Claims Department- claims management (P&I claims e.g. cargo, crew, fines, oil spill, FDD claims, bunker claims)- off-shoring of claims handling to TORM’s Mumbai office and training of and continued assistance and guidance to my col-leagues in the team- daily contact with insurers, brokers, lawyers and internal stake-holders- providing legal advice on maritime law, e.g. on Bills of Lading and interpretation of Charter Party clauses- reviewing and negotiating contracts - forming and chairing a loss prevention group - Assistant Competition Compliance Officer, internal presentations on competition law - representing TORM at SKULD’s Defense Advisory Board- managing documentation and correspondence with exter-nal lawyers in connection with the reconstruction of TORM- optimizing internal working procedures Results: - setting up a P&I claims division in TORM’s Mumbai of-fice, including training and supervision of colleagues, and negotiations with Danish Maritime Authorities regarding formalities necessary for this project; - removing backlog of crew claims (P&I) resulting in re-covery of around USD 1,000,000 during my first year in TORM- Negotiating TORM’s first contract with security company regarding armed guards onboard TORM’s vessels

BIMCO Assistant Manager, Documentary Department- project management in relation to development/revision of maritime documents (charter parties, bills of lading and clauses)- providing support to international sub-committees ap-pointed to assist with documentary work, drafting con-tracts - writing explanatory notes to standard documents- assisting members with enquiries about shipping law, BIMCO’s documents and legislation- making presentations for members in connection with BIMCO 39-events (forum for young shipping profession-als) Results:- taking part in the negotiations and adoptions of various standard shipping documents
