RVision is a student-operated production team that broadcasts over 20 Rutgers University athletic games for the Big Ten Network. I collaborate with a team of about 10 students to operate professional equipment, including high-tech cameras, scorebox operation, replay operation, and graphic design, for approximately 10 hours per week. At RVision, I am learning more about the broadcast media production and distribution industry while combing my interests of sports and production. In the inaugural B1G+ Awards, we won Best Gameplay Coverage for the Fall and Spring, being the only school to win more than one award.

Restaurant job where I fulfilled various roles, including cashier, hostess, waitress, and delivery driver, to satisfy over 150 customers daily, both dine-in, take-out, delivery, and curbside services. I took over designing and creating weekly menu boards to promote over 5 new specials. I greeted customers, answered questions, consulted on over 200 menu items, fulfilled orders, processed payments, and cleaned the store. I was also responsible for taking inventory of supplies, ordering desserts each week, cashing out the money in the cashbox, and filling out a closing receipt at the end of each shift. For each summer, I also assumed most of the roles of my manager who was away on vacation, such as working the delivery station each shift and rectifying any customer complaints.

As my first internship, working at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has been an extremely rewarding opportunity. For 11 weeks, I had the opportunity to provide support to 3 divisions within the Finance department. Throughout my rotations, I refined my Microsoft Office skills, presented projects, created weekly reports, attended meetings, and meet many supportive employees, from fellow interns to the CEO!Within the Finance department, I was tasked with creating various weekly reports to aid the many project managers of the company. Such reports, including a timesheet report or approved invoices, aided these project managers monitor the activity of their projects, as well as the monthly accrual process. I also had the opportunity to help create slides updating employees on the status of Optimize Horizon, an effort to improve Horizon in the years to come. I gathered essential accounting and finance concepts to teach employees that are unfamiliar with the various processes, especially monthly accruals.Alongside my fellow interns, we all spent the summer working on our presentation on how Horizon can attract and retain Gen Z talent in a post-pandemic workforce. We focused on Employee Development, Employee Recognition, and Work Arrangements to provide recommendations on what Horizon can do for the next generation of leaders. Overall, I am extremely thankful for my time at Horizon BCBSNJ and am excited to have continued my role in the Fall 2023 Part-Time Internship program!

Intern for 1199 Youth Mentoring Program that was online due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Enhanced fundamental life skills and competencies in a four-week professional development program. In a team of four, we conducted and presented research on the responses and outcomes to the Covid-19 virus in the tristate area. This research was utilized by over 20 of New York's medical and healthcare institutions to further combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
