I have experience in numerous procurement fraud investigations in the public sector. My roles and responsibilities during these investigations included the following:- assembling a project team;- coaching and mentoring junior team members;- review of client's policies and procedures; - review of tender submissions;- calculation of losses due to falsified records;- interviewing individuals pertinent to the investigation; and- drafting of reports based on findings.During 2017, I was part of the team responsible for the inspection of multiple medical schemes in terms of the Medical Schemes Act. I am also responsible for various operational matters, including:- issuing of invoices;- budget management of various projects, and reporting of same to clients; and- leave entitlement.

Senior Associate (Forensic Services): 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2015Associate (Forensic Services): 7 January 2013 to 30 June 2014From January 2013 to February 2015, I was part of a team working on a project pertaining to the recalculation of the tax liability of four individuals and their respective companies. I was the senior consultant on this project from July 2014 to February 2015. My roles and responsibilities included the following:- Analysis of documentation obtained, including bank statements and other financial records;- Drafting of asset registers pertaining to each individual and company;- Reconstruction of loan accounts and identifying inter-company loans;- Calculation of the tax liabilities; and- Drafting of reports based on the calculations and findings.From February 2015 to April 2015, I was seconded to a private company where I was responsible for the investigation into certain fraud allegations. My roles and responsibilities included the following:- Review of invoices in order to determine the accuracy and legitimacy thereof;- Quantifying the loss which arose from falsified invoices; - Interviews with major role players responsible for falsifying invoices; and- Reporting of findings to senior management.I have experience in the planning and execution of a head count of municipal staff in order to verify all employees on the municipality's payroll. At the time of the project, no one in our offices had experience with this type of project, thus it was my responsibility to:- Liaise with municipal staff in order to prepare a project plan;- Work with fellow senior consultants to supervise the actual verification process, which took place over multiple days and several locations;- Calculate any monetary loss due to ghost employees;- Interview individuals pertinent to our investigation; and- Draft a report based on our findings.
