I am an Attorney-at-Law, Director, at Plesner Law Firm in Denmark. I am a specialist within public procurement law, competition law and foreign direct investments. Public procurement law: I advise contracting authorities and suppliers on all aspects of EU and Danish public procurement law. I advise contracting authorities in all phases of a tender procedure, i.e. from assessment of obligations to tender, determination of tender strategy and drafting of tender material to completion of the tender, including evaluation of the offers and notification of the award decision. I advise suppliers when participating in tenders, e.g. I assist with understanding the tender material, prepare applications for prequalification and offers, including optimization of offers in relation to the award criteria. I also advise on the subsequent enforcement of the procurement rules before the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement and have assisted both contracting authorities and suppliers in several cases, including cases involving highly complex procurement law issues.Competition law: I advise companies on all aspects of EU and Danish competition law, but in particular on merger control and other M&A-related competition law. I handle merger control processes before both the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority and the European Commission as well as coordinate multi-jurisdictional filings involving local counsel and filings in a multitude of jurisdictions worldwide.Foreign direct investments: I advise Danish ang foreign companies and investors on all aspect of the Danish foreign direct investment rules, which establish a mandatory authorization scheme for investments in and agreements with Danish companies within particularly sensitive sectors and activities, as well as a voluntary notification scheme for investments, etc. in all other sectors. I advise on all aspects of the screening and approval process, including assess whether prior approval will be required, draft applications for approval and assist with obtaining the approval by the Danish Business Authority. I also conduct cross-border screenings, including coordinate multi-jurisdictional filings involving local counsel and filings in a multitude of jurisdictions worldwide.
