As a creative person who loves exploring details in the world around us, I relish helping others open their eyes to new experiences or ideas. History, heritage and the creative arts all offer ways to understand ourselves and our place in things anew, and coming from a low-income background, I strongly believe access to them should be more widely available and encouraged. Employment at local authorities and an international FTSE 250 company have developed my expertise in exhibition and event planning, marketing and customer service. I've gained a broad skill set both from necessity, and a drive to get the job done well, and am used to working with multiple teams to deliver displays and content which is on time and on message.I tend to plan, ask what could go wrong, and ensure there's a Plan B in place. Any time when that needs enacting, customers or other departments usually never realise Plan B was the back up! From time working front of house I've kept a willingness to muck in and get hands on dirty when required — all of which are vital in the modern heritage and arts sector.
