As a Design Creative, I bring a unique blend of cultural richness, business acumen, and scientific curiosity to the world of design. Growing up in Samoa, I was immersed in the vibrancy of Samoan cultural arts from a young age, gaining invaluable insights learning from my mother while working in our family's first retail store, Janet's. From these formative experiences, I acquired a profound understanding of the transformative power of turning ideas into reality and the hard work required to ensure a business thrives.In my current role, I hold a multifaceted position within the Janet's company. My duties include position as Lead Designer for multiple brands as well as Creative Director for our Media and Visual Marketing Projects. My role extends to Lead Textile Print Designer and Clothing Designer for Fashion Brands ALII, GALU, and TEROPIKA. Additionally, I serve as the Jewellery Designer for Masina Blue, the biochemist for Love Pacific Coconut Oil Beauty Care line, and the illustrator for Pineapple Prints. I am also responsible for creating the Visual Branding and Marketing assets for these diverse brands.My responsibilities also include Retail Store Layout Design, Fixture Design and Planning as well as Computer-Aided Design (CAD). My Design philosophy revolves around a harmonious blend of cultural creativity, functionality, and meticulous attention to detail. This approach results in solutions that not only embody the significance of Samoan Culture within our company's identity but also contribute to a positive and immersive customer experience.As a self-taught Graphic Artist, I am deeply passionate about translating my visions into tangible expressions. Creativity, for me, extends beyond a skill; it is a life philosophy shaping how we interact with the world. My creative journey encompasses academic pursuits in Genetics and Biochemistry which fostered in me discipline, patience, and an unyielding pursuit of curiosity. I am dedicated to bringing a fresh perspective to every project, ensuring a seamless blend of Samoan culture, scientific precision, curiosity and creative innovation.My commitment is rooted in pushing the boundaries of Creative Samoan Cultural representation in my industry while upholding a keen focus on brand identity and market relevance.I am always eager to connect with fellow professional Creatives who share a passion for business and turning Creative ideas into reality.
