Responsible for Rare’s programmatic, operational, and financial outputs in China. Manage and expand Rare’s training and support of, as well as learning exchanges among, a growing portfolio of local conservationists working in critically important natural sites in China. Key areas of responsibility are: setting up the partnership between Rare and the University, launching Rare Pride in China, conservation outcomes, fundraising, relationship management, and financial/operational management.http://www.rare.org/

*Developed strategic plan, managed the project, assessed needs, designed curriculum, and taught classes. *Coordinated with professors at the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Princeton University and high-level officials in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as corporate executives in China.

* Conducted research on Democratic Decision Making at village level and co-wrote a reference manual on this topic, published in 2005. Also responsible for the layout design.* Coached training courses in provinces delivered by local trainers.* Conducted research on Transparency in Village Affairs and co-wrote a reference manual on this topic, published in 2004.* Developed a set of training materials on standardized election procedures for village elections, published in 2003.* Taught more than twenty training courses on local governance in China’s Henan, Yunnan, Jiangxi and Liaoning provinces. Also responsible for curriculum planning.* Conducted research on the interrelationship of attitude and actual behavior of township cadres in respect to village elections.
