Penn State University graduate with a double major in Political Science and Energy & Sustainability Policy. I have a deep interest in sustainability, politics, and film, and aspire to have a career that is focused on improving the world around me and the lives of individuals suffering from injustice and the negative effects of climate change. Was selected into the Local Climate Action Program (August 2023 - May 2024) at Penn State and partnered with Pennsylvania’s local government of Solebury Township to determine their community’s contribution to climate change and help their government develop plans to draw down carbon emissions and adapt to a changing climate. In the Fall 2023 semester, my partner and I developed a working relationship with local government staff and officials. Using publicly available data from utilities, authorities, and other sources, we created a sector-based greenhouse gas emissions inventory using ICLEI ClearPath software. We then adapted this report into a presentation and delivered it to the Board of Supervisors on February 6, 2024. In the Spring 2024 semester, my partner and I created a Business-As-Usual emissions forecast for Solebury Township and completed a SWOT analysis to identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of their Energy Transition Plan. Following the results of the BAU forecast and SWOT analysis, we then adopted this report on the recommended strategies for reducing GHG emissions and achieving the most feasible goals of their Energy Transition Plan into a presentation and delivered it to the Board of Supervisors on May 7th, 2024.*The Local Climate Action Program is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protections, Energy Programs Office, ICLEI: Local Governments for Sustainability, and the Sustainability Institute at Penn State University.
