I'm a serial entrepreneur, radio engineer, ex-developer, musician, and basketball player ๐ Currently, I'm the enthusiastic co-founder and CEO of LevelUpBasket.com, which is like Strava for basketball ๐ My experience spans various successful ventures, where I've held key leadership positions with a smile on my face.One of my most notable roles was as CEO of MAPS.ME, which is the #1 travel map app ๐บ with 150 million installs worldwide. Under my tenure, we successfully grew the app's user base from 30M to 150M installs and 60M annual active users, and increased revenue from $0 in 2016 to $3M ARR in 2019, culminating in an M&A valued at $20M in 2020 ๐. MAPS.ME was competing with Google Maps and Apple Maps on a global scale, and solidified its position as a leading tool for travelers ๐Prior to that, I was the CMO of LITRES.com, which is now the #1 e-book store ๐ in CIS with 25 million users and $100M ARR. I joined the company at the seed stage, generating $50k MRR and 300k registered users. By 2015, we had 25M users and $15M ARR ๐ I had a stock option plan of 0.6% shares (valued at $6M today), but I decided to leave the company and my RSA plan to build MAPS.ME. I played a crucial role in developing the company's marketing and product strategy, which helped us attract new customers and retain existing ones with a friendly touch ๐In addition to these roles, I co-founded MoikaMoika.ru, which is an app for carwash booking ๐ The app was later acquired in 2018 for an undisclosed amount. This was my first small exit. We didn't make money on it, just returned what we had spent on it, but we learned a lot and had fun in the process ๐
I also co-founded OpenPlaceReviews.org, which was a global decentralized platform (blockchain) for trusted ratings and reviews โญ After some time, we pivoted to open source, which allowed us to continue our mission of promoting transparency and trust in online reviews with a smile ๐Furthermore, I served as the CMO of FastLane Ventures in 2010, launching a copy-cat of Groupon with a twist of my own ๐๏ธI started my career as an internet marketing manager in a global software company, Radmin.com, where I helped drive growth and expansion through effective marketing strategies and a cheerful attitude ๐
