Creating the future of sustainable procurement for the credit union: Collaborated with the aboriginal relations working group in achieving the progressive aboriginal's relations certification . Supported the Living Wage certification for Vancity and represented Vancity as subject matter expert in the Employers committee at the Living Wage Campaign. Created policies and frameworks for a center led procurement model and contributed a more robust framework for third-party (vendor) diligences.Trained individuals across the organization in different functions from buyer to vendormanagers as they onboarded on the new roles.Provided advice to the line of business in due diligences that were in compliance with OSFI and BFSA third-party and outsourcing regulations. I was on the post award side, inking our relationships, and help that our contracts reflect a mutual benefit with our suppliers (partners in this journey of helping members) I conducted and monitor contract negotiations to enable optimal value and to mitigate risk for the organization, I also provided advice to the business on risks and obligations during the contract negotiations process enabling optimal contracts.I liaised with internal Legal Counsel to maintain compliance with all business requirements and legal statutes in order to minimize legal risk. And sometimes I did draft and/or create contractual terms that are vetted by our legal team, to ensure we have language that makes sense for our organization

I am so fortunate to be able to positive influence how we do business, implement social responsibility in supply chain is a challenge I will take any time. I helped Vancity to bring local service providers to implement Living Wage standards into contracts, including conducting several procurement process that have the Living Wage consideration in the selection criteria.

This was a hell of a ride! I learned a lot in this organization from how to bind a book to how to manage a 24/7 operations, and everything in between. My role was more into the logistics area to have all what production needs to satisfy customers, from buying paper and ink, to create machine/people schedules.

My supply chain foundation experience was at Unilever, I learned, grew and performed in many areas of supply chain, from providing executive assistance, demand planning, purchasing and procurement duties, contributing to key projects, including global initiatives.Got the tools and processes that created in me a sound knowledge to move towards a more strategic position. I earned such a vast experience and will forever thankful that I belong to the great Unilever community.
