I am a Year 11 student at Geraldton Grammar school participating in the 2022 Future Female Leaders Program! As part of this program, I have chosen a UN sustainability goal and created a social project. I have chosen goal 5, gender equality and will be creating a podcast and inviting women in politics and managerial positions to join me! I am passionate about this project as I hope to educate people on the struggles that women face in the workforce, and the inequalities that still exist to this day. As I look at the career I dream of entering as I leave school, I would love to shape the environment in which women face as they enter the workforce and have the confidence to pursue careers in politics. As well as school and the program, I have a part time job at a local cafe. I have been employed at this cafe since October of 2019 and my favourite part about this job is the diverse people I meet. My future goals include becoming a primary school teacher, I hope that by the time I finish university equality has been achieved worldwide!
