I oversee financial operations and audience relations for Opening Nights, FSU's professional performing arts presenter. In this role, I manage financial accounts, budget planning, and grants. Patron Services also falls under my responsibilities, with a staff of seven and a volunteer corps of over 100. I served as the Interim Director of Opening Nights from March - June, 2022, where I completed artist programming for the 2022-2023 season and established new educational initiatives.

As an instructor for ARE 4932, "Introduction to Arts Administration" I have been responsible for curriculum design, implementation, and instruction. The salient element of my curricular design is a capstone project that led students through the process of creating their own nonprofit arts organization. As a member of a five-person adjunct faculty team, I re-oriented and re-designed this course for online learning platforms; the first online arts administration course at Florida State University.

As a founding officer, I was privileged to work with an amazing team of music educators to bring musical opportunities to young adults in the Palm Beaches. As with all startups, officers wear many hats. Not only was I serving as President, but also as the development officer by raising all of the startup costs in four months. Additionally, I served as a program director for our new choral ensemble and as a producer for a full-scale holiday show. Our choral ensemble was selected to perform at Walt Disney World's Candlelight Processional on two occasions, and our holiday show received high acclaim throughout the county.

I managed all of the day-to-day aspects of this Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid training company, which is a licensed training provider of American Red Cross Courses. Skills used include sales/marketing, accounting/budget, and instruction.

I was the Instructor-of-Record for ARE 4932, "Introduction to Arts Administration." In this position, I was responsible for curriculum design, implementation, and instruction. The salient element of my curricular design was a capstone project that led students through the process of creating their own nonprofit arts organization.I also served as the Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Antonio Cuyler, Associate Professor of Arts Administration. Responsibilities varied depending on Dr. Cuyler's research needs, but included researching arts administration programs in universities throughout the African diaspora and curating jobs and internship opportunities for graduate students in FSU's Arts Administration program.

Teaching four co-curricular choirs, beginning piano, and AP Music theory has always been a joy! I served as Department Chair for the Performing and Fine Arts Department from 2005-2016, and was the Head Swim Coach from 2010-2015. I have been thrilled to oversee the school's theater and equipment, and even transported students on the school's bus.I have always enjoyed providing professional-level experiences to the students. Three times we performed as the back-up choir for Kenny Rogers' "Christmas and Hits" tour, six times we joined Broadway star Tim Shew on stage for performances. In 2008 our students performed on stage with pop legend "Dion." The students in 2010 performed as the headlining entertainment for the CityPlace (West Palm Beach) Christmas Tree Lighting, replacing members from the cast of GLEE. We were also fortunate to run South Florida's ONLY national show choir competition for several years.Students excelled in all areas of music. Students successfully participated in All-State Honor Choirs, County Choral Festival, Solo and Ensemble Festival, District and State Choral Music Performance Assessment, and were consistently selected to perform at Walt Disney World's Candlelight Processional.

I taught Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR classes in the Greater Palm Beach County Area.

In the midst of the "Greate Recession," I maintained a small company that presented performing artists seasonally in Palm Beach County, Florida. In this role, I negotiated deals with agents to present an array of musical performances ranging from world music to pop/rock. While I enjoyed negotiating with agents and collaborating with artist management and venues, my favorite part was interacting with guests and developing strategies for expanding audiences.

I served as Aquatic Coordinator from 6/2003-7/2004, where I worked with lifeguards and swimming instructors to provide high-quality services to YMCA members. I supervised all aquatic staff, created schedules, provided training, engaged in customer services, oversaw maintenance of the aquatic center, and participated in association-wide focus meetings.Over the next few years I served as an aquatic supervisor working with lifeguards and teaching lifeguard courses. I also developed a Junior Lifeguard curriculum implemented by regional YMCAs.During the summers of 2006 and 2007 I served as Interim Aquatic Director at the YMCA of Boynton Beach and Boca Raton, respectively.
