Motivated and dedicated artist/illustrator based in the Triad Area of North Carolina. My diverse arts background comes into play every single day. I am reliable, loyal, and hardworking with a keen sense of humor and observation. I have a strong background in the visual and performing arts (commercial illustration, fine art, teaching, acting, directing) as well as research, writing, and administrative needs. I'm well-versed in the innerworkings of office environments and working from home efficiently, with experience in customer service and public relations. Communication, consistency, and tact are key in all situations. I have a passion for justice and speak out for what I believe in. I am chronically ill (type 1 diabetes and psoriatic arthritis to name only two), and that informs my reactions and opinions on a daily basis and from a deeply personal level. I often write openly and candidly about my struggles with chronic illness and mental health in an effort to help others see they are not alone in a world that can sometimes be so cold to those with differences and extra challenges. I'm not afraid to get snarky and humorous while trying to get tough ideas across - my personality shines through even the most difficult information and ideas, often through tie-ins to pop culture and sly humor. In regards to fine art, I specialize in portraiture, figure, capturing personality, and allegorical still lives using pieces from my personal oddities and curiosities collections. I study forensic/medical art on my own time, with particular interest in facial reconstruction. An interesting tidbit about me would be my vast knowledge of Star Trek.
