Great place to work!Initially responsible for technical pre-sales and post-sales in Australia & New Zealand. Built a great team and helped the Australian operation grow from $1M to $20M in a couple of years.Recruited to HQ as Product Management lead for WAN software, then high end routers and service provider infrastructure. Initiated the GSR12000, MPLS and L2F/L2TP products. Was instrumental in getting MPLS VPNS off the ground and deployed by AT&T as its first major service provider. Promoted to Snr Director and made responsible for the integration of Stratacom (Cisco's largest acquisition) into the Cisco product line. Initiated and managed the MGX product line and its integration with Cisco's other MPLS products.Assisted with post-bubble clean-up of Cisco's Service Provider business. General Manager of Carrier Voice Business Unit during that process.

Highlight of my time at Telstra included: - Wrote the software for a small X.25 switch/gateway that enabled dial-up access. - Built the 1st ATM demonstration switch in Australia (1986) - Helped create the IEEE 802.6 MAN standard...the 1st practical ATM switching system. - Managed the architecture of FASTPAC, the 1st ATM-based network service anywhere in the world. 34Mbit/s across Australia!
