Encheng is the first intern in Tesla Hardware Test CN and has retrofitted several conceptual components regarding the HV Battery, structural strength, and exteriors for the Model 3 Highland. He has also independently established the first Chamber States Visualization System in the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory Environmental Lab, enabling engineers to control and monitor their test plan in real time to optimize overall operations. Also, as the key R&D Member in the Racing Team and Robotics Institute of SJTU, he has led the ECU and firmware development for Formula Autonomous SAE; winning the National Second Prize of the Chinese Ministry of Education held competition as team leader; the historical best for SJTU.At California, Encheng is working on System Integration in Waymo and Berkeley AI Racing Tech, developing an affordable autonomous driving platform and advancing university-level autonomous racing to bring up the most experienced robot driver in the world. SJTU Racing Team- Led a 9 people team and developed an vehicle-level embedded control system with ECU, Battery Management Module, various sensors, and Motor Controller using CAN-BUS and Serial Communication based on Simulink Code Generator.- Conducted HIL Testing on Simulink Real-Time and Speedgoat target hardware for Rapid Control Prototyping on control logic.- Established the control signal transmission in a remote driving system, tested and deployed it on SAIC GM Baojun E100 (EV platform). The control system includes Force Feedback Steering Wheels (Remote-Control), Linux Server and IPC (Vehicle). - Optimized the signal transmission using SocketCAN under TCP/IP and multi-threading with Epoll to minimize control lag.- The system assisted SJTU to win National Second Prize in FORMULA STUDENT CHINA 2021, our Historical Best.

Shanghai GigaFactory R&D Center Hardware Test TeamAs first fulltime intern in our team, contributed to:- Designed and executed over 10 automated tests (PTCE, HTOE, HTHE, Vibration and thermal Characteristics) for Model3 Highland HV Battery to verify design iteration, including writing automated Python test scripts Interface with Sensors and test devices, troubleshooting, and developing custom mechanical fixtures with CATIA. - As only intern, participated in Tesla 2023 Winter Reliability and Controllability Test in Heihe Proving Ground, managing fleet, diagnosing via Vector CAN and troubleshooting onsite both on HW/SW (Charging, Interiors and Exteriors) for Model 3 Highland Release in Later 2023.- Exposed a critical issue regarding Model3 Highland Power Conversion System fuses with oscilloscope and Test Sensors, and then improit with CAE Team, increasing the fuse lifespan by more than 500%.- Implemented the first Road Load Data Acquisition system for Greater China on Model 3 to acquire International Roughness Index. This system is now running at Shandong Public Road, collecting data for localized shock test, NVH and CAE Analysis.- Designed and conducted Verification Test on Model3 Highland Electric Struts with Firmware Download Tool to recalibrate the opening angle, output gains and dead point under extreme weather. Verified the functionality of electric struts compared to the pneumatic old version.- Independently established an industrial visualization system for GFSH Environmental Lab using C++, including reading 8 climatic chambers and an electric load status message with Serial (RS232, RS485), TCP/IP and Modbus, uploading to the server and visualizing the message with PowerBI to help engineers and technicians monitor & speedup their test plans in real time.
