As the system architect for the Youtrade project at Koala Tech, I designed and implemented a cross-border e-commerce system for youtrade.co.nz. I focused on optimizing the user experience for merchants in New Zealand and consumers in China. To achieve this, I strategically placed the online mall system and main database in China's cloud service, ensuring global accessibility and utilizing a global CDN to enhance speed for consumers. Simultaneously, I positioned the product management system in New Zealand to facilitate efficient merchant access. To address the challenges of cross-border e-commerce, I integrated cross-border payment capabilities and developed a financial settlement module. This module significantly reduced the payment processing time for Chinese consumers, enabling payments to merchant accounts within one working day after delivery. Overall, my architectural decisions resulted in an efficient and user-friendly cross-border e-commerce platform for Youtrade project
