As a Process Management Consultant, I moved into the private sector to take the role focused on evaluating and improving operational processes for a consulting firm. I report to the ownership team in this remote role that leads the company-wide initiatives. I started in this capacity while living in Brazil and I have continued to work remotely for the organization after returning to the US.My focus in this capacity is to interact with stakeholders to gather the requirements, provide leadership, and retain buy-in through the project delivery. I work across the operational, client services, and sales functions to recommend changes that foster continuous improvement. I think critically to evaluate the data, troubleshoot challenges, and prioritize initiatives to ensure we continue to provide high-quality service to clients.Achievements in this capacity include:• Built the company’s CANVAS business model to unlock scalable growth into new markets and in existing accounts through consistent, strong delivery. • Lead the 10-person team designing, deploying, and improving 11 processes across company operations. • Designed and presented trainings to employees in the best practices in client service delivery. • Identified and led strategic initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration while working remotely to operationalize the vision of the organization. • Create and deploy surveys to gather data to assess and improve team and organizational engagement. After completing my MBA, I joined the quasi-governmental agency in the Project Management Consulting division. During this time, I served as a project manager delivering consulting services to companies across all industries in the PMO of the government-funded economic development organization.My focus in this role was to assist companies in implementing efficient and effective project management practices, from project initiation to closure. This involved conducting project assessments, creating project plans, providing training and coaching to teams, and monitoring project progress and budget. I did this as an extension of our client’s teams to ensure the delivery of the key milestones for all projects. This meant that I regularly pivoted between stakeholder management, project planning, and troubleshooting while facilitating change through the execution of large-scale initiatives.I built relationships and delivered results to ensure stakeholders' satisfaction. As a result, we were able to consistently meet or exceed the expectations of the people we served in delivering the projects. Results in this role were:• Led up to 12 direct reports in the delivery of up to 40 projects annually each taking 6 months – 2 years while also raising $5k - $200k from corporate foundations to fund additional projects. • Secured 500 clients participating remotely in the program during COVID with 100% previously onsite. • Delivered a 10 year strategic plan for the development of the infrastructure, workforce, and community within the state that required leadership of engineers, economists, and specialists resulting in roll-out across multiple regions. • Turned the lowest participating sector into a top 3 industry for the organization in terms of service requests, retention, and referrals by partnering with industry leaders to foster scalable growth.Projects: Process Improvement, Vendor Selection, Change Management, Training, Economic Development
