I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and completed a 126-hour internship in the Level III Infant Intensive Care Nursery (IICN) at Temple University Hospital. After relocating from Philadelphia, PA to Tempe, AZ, I continued to uphold culturally sensitive nursing care as a core value, recognizing its importance in providing comprehensive care. I have cared for neonates, families, and communities from diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing key social determinants of health such as economic status, housing, education, and healthcare access. This experience, coupled with my strong attention to detail, leadership, and organizational skills, equips me to make a meaningful contribution to any team.The unforeseen effects of COVID-19 taught me resilience as I worked as the charge nurse during night shifts, managing 2,000 inmates. This role sharpened my ability to excel in high-pressure environments and adapt to less-than-ideal conditions, proving that I can remain a strong and compassionate nursing professional despite adversity.During nursing school, I also worked with a community nursing team in Kensington, Philadelphia. Over 210 hours, we built a community center from the ground up, addressing poverty, addiction, and homelessness in the area. This experience helped me cultivate cultural humility, combining empathy with evidence-based practice to meet the health needs of marginalized populations.Today, I am a full-time business owner, having founded Aesthetics Creative Design Studio, where I create brand identities and website designs with a mission to honor God's word. This journey ultimately led to the creation of Living in Light, my faith-based business dedicated to helping others grow spiritually through thoughtfully designed products. Through Living in Light, I merge my passion for design, entrepreneurship, and faith, empowering individuals to live with intention and purpose.My background in both nursing and business ownership has given me a unique perspective on leadership, resilience, and compassion. I am committed to making a positive impact through my work, both in the design space and the lives of those I serve through my faith-based endeavors.
