Having pursued my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in History and Southeast Asian Studies as well as a librarianship career with the National Library’s Singapore and Southeast Asia collections team for 3 years, I developed a keen interest in research and knowledge related to the Singapore and Southeast Asian region. My education and experience also enabled me to cultivate appreciation towards Singapore’s history and heritage, with a specialisation in the Indian community and diaspora. Presently, I’m an Assistant Curator at the Indian Heritage Centre, a Heritage Institution under the National Heritage Board, where I conduct research, develop collections and curate exhibitions that focus on tracing the history and heritage of the Indian and South Asian communities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
