I was amongst the original team that opened the Nottingham store and therefore was an integral part of building the Lucy & Yak Nottingham community. Whilst working at Lucy & Yak I have experienced above and beyond the usual shop assistant role. Meeting with the sustainability team was a highlight for me, I was trained in the GOTs certification process to understand how product is made in order to communicate this with customers. I have worked on gaining the best product knowledge possible in order to provide an outstanding customer experience.I managed the Nottingham store Instagram in addition to this. Creating daily on-brand Instagram posts, stories and reels using a number of programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva. I plan content in communication with the head office team via Trello up to a fortnight in advance, consulting weekly best and worst sellers lists to plan strategic content whilst maintaining colourful and unique brand aesthetic. Upon opening the store in February 2023 with zero following we have massed an Instagram following of over four thousand followers. I personally managed local customer relations through social media, communicating with returning customers to keep them coming back and finding ways to attract new demographics by creating a profile that reflects the Lucy & Yak Nottingham shop culture. I have created reels using Adobe Premier Rush which promote instore promotions such as the 2023 summer sale which received over ten thousand views.

I volunteered at the Cat’s Protection Charity Shop Penwortham branch from summer 2020 up until leaving for university. During this time I created both instore and window displays from week to week as secondhand and new stock came in, I also served customers and worked in the stock room sorting through donation bags organising stock into what could be sold and what fabrics could be recycled in other ways.
