I am one of the two fellows, selected out of more than 400 candidates, working on a climate engagement project "AMPLIFY" to answer the million-dollar question in the climate movement: "HOW DO WE MOBILIZE PEOPLE TO SOLVE THE CLIMATE CRISIS?" In partnership with Ticketmaster, Climate Outreach, and REVERB, we designed and deployed a survey to 350k music fans and qualitative interviews trying to understand how music fans want to take climate action and how music artists can become the much-needed climate advocate by mobilizing their fans. We also brought AMPLIFY to life during the multi-platinum indie pop band AJR's 2024 summer tour. More than 35k actions fans took action in the 22-city tour. 97% of the fans want more music artists to use their influence and help fans get involved in taking climate action. Our reports highlighted the best practices at concerts of various artists, various sizes of audiences, in different locales, and in different communities. Read them below. Also links the background and ideas of the project, as discussed on various panels during Climate Week NYC 2023.

  • The Climate Reality Project Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter
    Chapter Chair
The Climate Reality Project Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter Nov 2021 - Aug 2022
    Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
I led the Climate Reality Project Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, a full-scale volunteer-run local climate advocacy group with 400+ members and a leadership team of 11 people. I oversee all components of project planning to carry out chapter initiatives, including online meetings/trainings, workshops, and protests. And I serve as the liaison between the national team at the Climate Reality Project and the volunteers in our chapter, translating nation-wide campaigns to local implementation, and providing local insights for strategic planning. Our chapter is in coalition and partnership with many DFW climate and democracy advocacy groups, including Public Citizen Texas, 350 Dallas, and Sunrise Movement Dallas, and Green Career Dallas. With the partnership, our chapter have been able to contribute to the climate movement in a constructive way. For example, we were a member of the coalition that helped the Dallas City Counsel to pass Dallas' first climate action plan in 2020 by advising the environmental commission and mobilizing members to speak at city council meetings and town halls. On the week of COP26 in Glasgow in 2021, I also coordinated the local “Fossil Free Fed” protest as a part of 350.org's nation-wide day of action, and ensured all components were implemented and all promotional materials were rolled out in a strategic order leading to the event. The Climate Reality Project is a global network of activists dedicated to bringing awareness of the climate crisis and environmental injustice with solution-driven narratives, and working together to push for meaningful and constructive solutions to address the greatest challenge of our time.
