I am an ardent and diligent year 4 student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Real Estate ongoingly at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With my immense interest and passion in the field of hospitality, I endeavor to upskill myself in line with industry-related needs to become a sophisticated person with protean and necessary skills. I am presently looking for great opportunities for the sake of acquiring a better insight and understanding of the hospitality industry. As my mentor said, "Having a multifaceted university life will be conducive to your career.", I was inspired to join the Society of Hospitality and Real Estate as a Promotion Officer. Due to my responsibility to design promotional materials for various activities including Department Photo Day and Orientation Camp, I assimilated and now excel in using designing software, mainly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. As one of the society on behalf of the department, the committee members and I worked as a team, dedicated to organizing different events for our students, such as Orientation Day and Networking Day. Despite the difficulties and constraints brought by COVID-19, we struggled to make a well-planned event that provides a memorable yet comfortable experience to our students. All these pages have shaped me into the one who is kind to team up with others to achieve success and plan for an event. Despite having insufficient experience of working in a hotel, I believe that my experience of tutoring can also help equip me with outstanding communication and problem-solving skills. I have been working in a chain tutorial center for more than 5 months. Teaching primary and secondary students to solve their problems on homework and revision, I am also required to maintain classroom discipline as well as a proper learning ambiance for students. Sometimes I have to mediate disputes between mischievous students with my communication skills. Not only does this job nurture me to become an attentive and patient person with multitasking skills, but it also enhances my organization, presentation, and problem-solving skills. As one said, "Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying.", I am certain that every opportunity is a good lesson for me to learn.
