Most recently, I held various leadership roles during my 13-year tenure at CBRE (NYSE: CBRE) across legal, global ethics, compliance, and operations as a member of the Global Senior, Risk, Compliance, and Legal Leadership Team. As SVP/Global Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, I led a 150-employee organization across 37 countries for the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm.With responsibility for certifying CBRE’s financial and regulatory compliance, I partnered with and advised the CBRE Board Audit Chair (to whom I double reported), regularly presenting to CBRE’s Board Audit Committee. During my tenure, I supported the company’s scale from 34K employees to 115K, and significant organic/M&A-driven growth, and the firm’s ESG & DEI strategy.Previously at CBRE, I led as SVP, Deputy General Counsel, overseeing Global Litigation, Employment, Intellectual Property, and Data Privacy & Protection, managing over 300 active cases and other litigation globally while reporting to insurers, senior management, and the Board. I led a department of lawyers/paralegals in the US and influenced attorneys across litigation, managing day-to-day operations. Prior to CBRE, I was a Senior Counsel across Commercial & Litigation at BP (NYSE: BP plc) for 11 years. Passionate about giving back within the Los Angeles communities, I serve on the boards of USC Gould School of Law Board of Councilors, Ronald McDonald House Charities of So. Cal, and HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Political Equality).
