Determined likely impacts of various fisheries management scenarios, production and trade, and profitability of fishing effort & harvest. Wrote and edited publications and provided numerous presentations to policy makers, harvesters and related businesses, and academia.

Mapped and digitized natural resources, and estimated public and private value of resources. Developed and utilized road-cost methodology based on soil surveys and engineering requirements to access resources. Developed linear programming models to determine the optimum use of resources based on economic,social/cultural and environmental impacts, and resource sustainability. Recommended land-use management policies under different development objectives. Conducted extensive public meetings (workshops) presenting management options, and gathering valuable local input and recommendations from area residents. After numerous workshops and reaching stakeholder consensus, a land-use plan was written (I generated all modeled GIS maps and wrote chapters proposing agriculture and transportation options, and land-use policies reflective of community feedback.) In addition to writing chapters in "The Susitna River Basin Land Use Plan," I published and presented a paper to USGS personnel on incorporating resource inventory, cost/benefit analysis, socio-economic, environmental data, etc, into GIS modeling to aid in determining land use designations and multiple use resource management policies.
