I have had a passion for biology ever since I was a small child, and I have particularly latched onto genetics and ecology. In school I discovered my love for lab work through performing various techniques like PCR and gel electrophoresis in my genetics course, enzyme activity assays in biochemistry, and tissue/gram-staining in my plant and microbiology courses. Music has also been one of my passions from early on in life. I started learning to play the violin through the public-school music program when I was in fifth grade and have continued to learn all the way through my schooling to now. It has taught me self-discipline, teamwork through the various ensembles I have performed in through the years, and perseverance.I am looking for a new position that will allow me to use the skills I have developed through my years in school as well as grow and learn more about the field of biology.
