I’m a forward-thinking, multi-skilled, IT entrepreneur with a 35 year track record of building a successful technology company. I’m also a trusted advisor to the boards of small, medium and large size organisations, operating across multiple industry sectors.Since founding Codebase8 in 1992, I’m proud to have grown it into a well regarded technology service and consulting business that’s earned a very loyal customer base. I’ve developed and lead a highly-skilled team of 40 data scientists, software engineers, automation experts and visionaries who consistently generate exceptional results that exceed clients’ expectations and drive growth. In 2017, to capitalise on the huge potential of automation and AI, I re-invented Codebase8 to become a leader in innovatively blending these cutting-edge, digital capabilities as customised solutions. To date, over 20% of the FTSE 250 have benefited from our problem solving approach to working. Codebase8’s differentiated offerings, combined with a successful track record, resulted in its acquisition by Davies Group in 2020. Ultimately, all my achievements are underpinned by a desire to continually challenge the status quo, a relentless ‘can do’ attitude, coupled with a strong belief in technological innovation - and how it can best be applied by great people to generate optimal customer value. Although business interests have prevented me from completing my MBA, I believe that the real-world experience I’ve gained has more than filled the gaps.
