When I first graduated from college, I went to New York City to pursue my career as an actress. What has transpired since that time is a diversity of unique experiences, some expected - some not, that have molded me into the professional I am today. Some of that experience capitalized on my training and included multiple musical theatre/acting roles between Houston, New York, and London – I was even featured as a cartoon voice-over on Disney Jr. Other experiences, such as teaching children and adult fitness instruction, have helped me discover and develop new skills that I now apply to my every day professional life. The non-acting paths I have chosen to take have all been based on a few key passions and talents. Specifically, I have a knack and passion for helping people get out of their comfort zone. Whether that is helping a budding actor feel more comfortable on stage, helping a shy athlete strike a confident pose for a photo, or helping a fearful working mom begin a transformative workout program, I have discovered a unique talent to help people feel less anxious when trying new things. I am also a strong networker. No joking – people have been hired in my kitchen at a party. This is because I believe wholeheartedly in the power of connections. Today, I apply my networking skills together with the business acumen gained from my professional experiences to build and scale the impact that TopScore is creating in the Greater Houston Area. When I’m not focused on our photography business, I can be found supporting my two sons, both of whom are talented musicians and performers. I truly enjoy the impact that we’ve been able to create as a result of this entrepreneurial journey and I welcome the chance to connect and share a part of it with you.

Professional Actress / Musical TheatreTheatres And Venues Across Nyc, London, And Houston 1994 - PresentI have auditioned for and performed in a multitude of mainstream and independent theatrical productions. I’ve been blessed to get the opportunity to perform and share my craft on stages spanning ranging from New York City’s 'Judith Anderson Theatre' to London’s 'Epsom Playhouse 'to Houston’s 'Theatre Under the Stars'. Some of my work included key roles in “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying”, “Sweet Charity”, and “The Music Man”. Performing arts have always been my true love and have directly – and sometimes indirectly - become the foundation for anything and everything that I’ve done as part of my career. Being on stage a lot also helped me to gain work as a model…one of the strangest gigs was being featured as the shorter of two models to show how a chair could adjust to any height!

TeacherSaint Anthony Of Padua Catholic School 2015 - Jun 2021I teach a few electives at SAPCS to include theatre, “newspaper”, and family consumer science classes. Teaching theatre allows me to freely work in an area that I am incredibly passionate about, while the other classes give me a great opportunity to help kids with their writing skills and other practical concepts that will help them be more successful in their lives after school. The impact that I am able to create through my work with these kids has been incredibly meaningful and satisfying. One of my proudest achievements has been growing the theatre program from 16 kids when I took it over to a record of 80 kids participating in our most recent production of “High School Musical”.

Business OwnerExtreme Team Boot Camp 2007 - 2012While living in England, I started, owned, and operated a fitness boot camp. This was a perfect business for me, as I have always been passionate about health and well-being. In addition to that, it allowed me to have a flexible schedule which was necessary when auditioning for or performing in new productions, which was (at the time) my primary focus. I took the most satisfaction from seeing people come into the studio and helping them through the right fitness options and plan. Some of my clients were scared to death because they hadn’t worked out in years. I viewed my job as to simply help them build their plan and the confidence behind it – and then be a source of positive energy and motivation as they embarked on their journey.

Voice ActorTiger Aspect 2009 - 2009London, London, GbThis was one of the most fun and most unique acting experiences I’ve had. Not just because I got to do a professional voiceover of a cartoon character, but also because I landed this job along with one of my talented sons. Tinga Tinga Tales, an Africa-based show on Disney Jr, wanted to expand its audience into the United States. While the cartoon had been made, which takes place in Africa, Disney didn’t think people would understand the accents of the characters who were in place. Disney needed American accents, especially for the child parts and my son scored a role. Luck was on our side that day because they liked my voice and background as well – hiring me as part of the American cast of Tinga Tinga Tales. -

Teacher, English And TheatreTomball Isd 1998 - 2000Tomball, Tx, UsI continued my journey as a teacher in the Tomball Independent School District, making an impact each and every day with kids. Nothing was more satisfying than seeing a student enjoy a new appreciation for their writing skills or watching a previously fearful kid discover a love for the stage and performing arts. I am both grateful and proud of the fact that many of my students went on to have careers that ranged from Broadway to News Reporters – not to mention actors, actresses, and musicians who have been featured in TV, Movies, and even chart-topping bands like the “Eli Young Band”. I often wonder if all of the “Tony Robbins Motivational Exercises” I did in class had any impact on those successful careers! -
Teacher, English And TheatreCypress-Fairbanks Isd 1995 - 1998Houston, Tx, UsActing and theatre was my original focus after graduating from college, but after 1.5 years in NYC, I moved back to the Houston area for personal reasons. As such, I parlayed my love and gift for working with kids into my first teaching job and never looked back. Earlier in life, I had actually envisioned myself as being an educator (Language Arts, specifically), so I was a good fit for this…learning early on that doing the little things like taking a kid to the library and showing them how to do research, can make such a meaningful difference. I enjoyed helping them discover a love of theatre and appreciation for language arts, regardless of their socio-economic status. At Jersey Village HS, I expanded the Theatre department by directing the schools first all-black show, “A Raisin in the Sun”. Prior to this show, none of the students had ever had the opportunity to perform on stage. That show is still one of my proudest experiences as a teacher. Making this type of difference on a daily basis is why teaching became such an important part of my overall career journey.
