And from there, with colleagues, I've had the privilege of growing two technology businesses.Esoterix Systems focuses on understanding passenger travel behaviour at the micro and macro levels across the rail network, so operators can improve their services.And QRoutes, which since its launch in 2017, has become the UK's leading route optimisation engine for home to school transport. Around 70 local authorities now use our tools. And, through partners, it's now used in four other countries (and growing).Across the two businesses, I am endlessly fascinated by the intersection between what people want and need from transport and the practicalities of how it's delivered.
