While at Preferred Temps I worked with B. Fletcher & Associates, an art appraisal and consulting firm. I also performed a variety of administrative tasks for the local public broadcasting company WGBH.

I worked with the public on a daily basis assisting customers with product selection. It was my job to ensure that visitors to Hilliard's House of Candy had a positive experience so they were inclined to return. I distributed samples, created in-store displays, restocked the store when needed, and conducted product inventory. Along with these tasks, I also projected an outgoing, positive demeanor while assisting customers with any questions or requests they had.

I worked closely with a Stonehill College Professor performing research on community-based art with a special emphasis on projects originating from institutions of higher learning. As part of my research I contributed to a database of previously completed community art projects at the college-level.

I catalogued photo negatives from the Stanley A. Bauman Collection, an extensive photo collection consisting of over 500,000 negatives. Ranging from the 1930s to 2003 the photo negatives successfully documented a diverse array of important local events. As a cataloguer I created electronic finding aids to the collection using Bauman's handwritten and typed paper indexes. As an intern for Channel 5's 11PM news I became acquainted with the inner workings of a large market television station. I co-wrote selected news stories and assisted in script distribution. I edited footage that would later air on the show and used ENPS (Essential News Processing System) software to check updates on emerging stories.

I worked as a Teacher's Assistant for a community-based art class titled Art and Civic Culture in Urban Neighborhoods. For this position I maintained a close relationship with the Brockton Cape Verdean Community. Through a collaborative effort between students, community leaders, and Cape Verdean youth a comprehensive art exhibit highlighting the strengths of the often marginalized Cape Verdean Community was created.
