As an ecology major, my approach towards coordinating the digital and print marketing efforts for five distinct product divisions, along with managing our website, blogs (four and counting) and ERP software is an integrative one.All of these working components have to move together towards one main goal of achieving profitable growth through providing top notch products, services and a quality customer experience. We have a 'plain carbon steel' website that needs upkeep so it doesn't 'rust'. Continuously updating SEO, refreshing content, and adding new products is a core component of how we stay relevant. In addition, researching new technology and ways to provide valuable content to our customers and capture new leads, using a combination of inbound marketing and paid advertisements, remains a focal point of our plan for retention and growth.Creating and implementing systems that improve marketing efficiency and help to automate repetitive tasks (both in marketing and business operations), or provide easier access to useful information (to customers and to coworkers) is another task of major import. To that end, creating automated email sequences, generating useful queries, creating dashboards and reports to display useful information in an easily digestible format, and maintaining healthy data are jobs I take seriously.Analyzing all of that data, from our ERP system, our ESP, our ad campaigns and our website metrics, and then using it to further our goals and fine tune our systems is something that requires constant care.
