Hogrefe Ltd is the UK arm of the Hogrefe Group, Europe’s leading publisher of psychometric assessments and psychology books and journals. My role as Principal Psychologist is key to delivering high quality assessment solutions to organisations. I also work closely with healthcare and educational professionals, authors and consultants. I enjoy researching and writing about current psychology issues for Hogrefe. I also help to train individuals for their Test User: Ability and Professional qualifications and represent Hogrefe at conferences and events.

Oxford / London

In this role I began to explore what I could contribute to the world of occupational psychology. I undertook a consultancy project on employee engagement for a tech start-up and started a business UMi with a friend to help young people develop psychological insights into themselves and their potential life and career paths.

Brighton

My work at IES included fascinating research projects for the NHS, the MOD, Shell, DfE and the Career Innovation Company. I interviewed hundreds of employees across sectors as diverse as optometrists, lawyers, teachers and seafarers about their work. Using a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods I reviewed literature, analysed data and contributed to client reports. I also wrote and published articles and helped to put on an event highlighting neurodiversity for HR Managers.

I completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology in 2018 and was awarded a Merit. Content included: organisational change, leadership, wellbeing, selection and assessment and life career development. My research dissertation was a quantitative analysis of the effect on authentic leadership on employee outcomes. Birkbeck emphasises a critical approach and evidence-based practice.

My role involved the design and delivery of a range of face to face and online training products to support teachers. These included Psychology, Business and English qualifications. Managing complex and varied projects and co-ordinating activity of a large team of Trainers. Running large-scale training events and providing curriculum advice to schools.

Guildford

This role involved the management of a range of national qualifications including A level Psychology and ensuring high quality and compliancy in the annual cycle of examination projects and tasks.
