• Direct the Rise Tutoring Program, which prepares struggling junior high and high school students for college-level math and science • Supervise over 200 student tutors while providing training, advising and support services for students• Serve as the community liaison between the Caltech Y and Pasadena area non-profits and community members• Oversee all ongoing community service programs of the Caltech Y• Through effective advertising and outreach, more than doubled the number of tutors in the programs and recruited additional students• Market the Caltech Y through up-to-date website content, flyers, html emails, and social media efforts• Manage the student work study program to fulfill the community service federal requirement • Assess program outcomes and goals on an ongoing basis to ensure objectives are being met• Raise funds for program budgets through successful grant writing

• Implement ongoing intensive support of students through counseling, monitoring stress and anxiety levels, and providing appropriate support in an urban immersion program where students live with local host families and complete internships• Represent the program through campus presentations and the coordination of informational sessions for eligible students• Partner with over 20 organizations and community leaders to provide students with meaningfulinternships. Plan and coordinate numerous site visits, interview days, panels, obtain necessarypaperwork and provide career counseling to students• Provide and analyze regular evaluation measures for current students and supervisors in order to ensure successfully internship opportunities• Plan and coordinate major events, including a one-week orientation program, training sessions, host family activities, and a 4-day weekend retreat• Served as a co-instructor with faculty and the program director through implementation of numerous workshops to facilitate professional and personal development• Awarded NASPA research grant to perform a large scale assessment project of student learning in the LA Term Program. The project evaluated outcomes of the program, strengths and challenges, and areas for improvement

• Plan and execute campus wide events for students and the community with up to 1500+ attendees• Supervise and evaluate work performance of five undergraduate interns. Provide individual counseling • Maintain and monitor budgets for both large and small scale events for up to 1500 attendees• Collaborate with students, faculty, and the community to elicit campus and community support for events through attendance and financial support• Market and advertise events to the campus community as well as surrounding areas through press releases, flyers, invitations, electronic sources, and volunteers

• Design and implement lessons and activities to develop students’ English speaking abilities• Instruct English conversation to students ranging from preschool through adult• Increase and retain student enrollment through effective teaching• Continually meet sales quota by renewing student contracts and contributed to the company’s recognition as top revenue producing school in an area of more than 50 schools• Counsel students regularly about their goals and progress
