As a graphic designer I was responsible for all graphic materials for marketing of the HBIA.* Organize and prioritize sections of the catalog to go out to seventeen different countries.* Strip in foreign text as needed for various catalog languages.* Create page layouts that leave room for translation once original pages are converted to other languages.* Creation of all marketing materials including business cards, membership brochures, conference materials and exposition trade show stands.Administrative duties included: answering phones, data entry, coordination between board and members. I payed bills and filed all materials.Event planning included all coordination between hotels and conference venue personal.

Responsible for the design, layout and production of all printed materials in a PC environment.* Design of brochures for conferences, annual reports, corporate identity packages, media kits, marketing materials and large format signs. * Possess great time management while working on projects for six different departments to create pleasing print material directed to the steel industry. * Maintain relationships with various print shops and mail houses to obtain competitive bids and track print jobs to assure job quality. * Developed a marketing plan to introduce AIST to the steel industry, which included: ads, postcards, press releases and photo shoots.* Create magazine covers, lay out pages and design house ads for Iron & Steel Technology. Work with the editorial and advertising departments to create ads for clients and to do prepress work as needed.* Keep a running balance of several postage accounts and track the inventory for envelopes and stationery.* Use of graphic software, as well as scanners, printers, CD burners and a digital camera to complete projects.

As a Forms Designer I was part of a four-person design team responsible for recreating and designing various types of forms for large hospital systems on the West Coast.* Creation of all forms using Pro-Source for Windows, a forms design program specifically designed for Standard Register Corporation. * Designed flow sheets, prescription pads, hospital forms, maps and logos.* My previous experience allowed me to work on special projects, including patient handbooks and brochures.

While working in the advertising department of a print shop, I created print material for numerous clients ranging from large chain hotels to small businesses. * Created flyers, door tags, tickets, business cards, brochures, employee handbooks, package design and recreated logos in a MAC environment. * Exposed to many areas of the printing industry, including lithography printing, stripping, creation of metal plates, die cuts, foil stamping, bindery and thermography.* Worked hand-in-hand with sales department and met with customers to ensure 100 percent satisfaction.

Responsible for design and production of all conference-related material and a monthly magazine in an association workplace.* Worked with multiple departments to create promotional material for conferences and educational services in a timely manner.* Promoted to Art and Design Director of Business Credit Magazine. * Created a variety of projects ranging from brochures, flyers, catalogs, registration forms, directories and direct mail to advertisements, logos and corporate identity packages, quarterly newsletters and a monthly magazine. * Maintained relationships with a wide range of printers to obtain bids and ensure best quality product for the lowest price.
