Repeatedly recognized for her legal skills and trial talents, Liz represents companies and individuals in complex, high-stakes business disputes. Liz is a seasoned trial lawyer who has successfully tried numerous cases to judges, juries, and arbitration panels. Liz uses that experience, along with her creativity and business acumen, to help clients navigate litigation and successfully solve their business problems. Liz’s peers have consistently recognized her work, naming her to Benchmark Litigation’s “Under 40 Hot List” from 2017 to 2022 and honoring her as a Texas “Super Lawyer – Rising Star” in business litigation from 2014 to 2017. Two years in a row (2018 and 2019), the National Diversity Counsel recognized Liz as one of the top female attorneys in Texas. Liz is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, an invitation-only, peer-reviewed organization whose members are distinguished law firm partners, in-house counsel, and insurance executives. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Liz was a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Before joining Weil, Liz was a partner at a well-known Dallas-based litigation boutique. Earlier, she clerked for the Honorable Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. During her clerkship, Liz worked on appeals for the First, Third, Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits. Liz was also a summer clerk for the Honorable Richard T. Haik, Jr., then the Chief Judge of the Western District of Louisiana. She is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Syracuse University. Liz earned her J.D. from William and Mary School of Law, where she was admitted to the Order of the Barristers, honored for her outstanding trial advocacy skills by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the winner of multiple national trial team competitions. Liz proudly serves on the Women of Tocqueville’s Steering Committee for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. She is a Barrister in the Barbara M. G. Lynn Inn of Court and was an inaugural member of the Dallas Bar Association’s WE LEAD program.
