I started out as the office manager, where my tasks included: answering calls on mulit-line phone system. Helping organize events and sending invitations. Assisting with inventory control and daily count reconcilliation. Ringing transactions and navigating the Point of Sale (POS) system. Counting registers and preparing daily deposits. Filing and maintaining daily paperwork and other records. Shortly after in January 2011 I was promoted to the sales team. Here I developed and fine tuned my sales abilities.After excelling in sales and the five other standards by which we are measured, I was promoted to Timepiece/Perimeter Department manager in November. My last promotion to Diamond Department Manager was in March of 2013. Currently I am managing the largest diamond department in our nationwide company, which also includes the top performer on Sterling's selling team. Management tasks include: resolving customer service issues and complaints. Managing the sales floor and directing team members to areas most needed. Having weekly one on one conversations with team members to discuss progress and opportunities. Ongoing coaching and training for continues improvement in sales and other behaviors. Rolling out new products, techniques and information to the team. Submitting payroll and adjusting weekly time cards. Employee discipline including write-ups for poor behavior or performance. Signing off on all jewelry taken into the store valued over $1000, as well as all trade-in merchandise. Assistance with inventory control and investigating missing merchandise. Organizing and maintaining showcases and inventory in the department. Establishing departmental needs and implementing new systems to meet them. And much more.
